Rustic-Transitional Living Room Design Board

Nowadays, a formal living room is less formal and can be used for entertaining guests. A space where you can step away from the chaos of everyday living. Today I am sharing a design board I created using an image from Houzz as inspiration.

I love the moody, earthy tones of the wall color and the choice of black-and-white and green as accent colors. This room has a lot of linear elements so the use of circular elements like the woven artwork above the fireplace, the circular lamp and shade, botanicals, table accessories, and the small live edge table lend balance. The woven wall art and live edge table also contribute to a sense of informality to the space.

If you are interested in any of the items I have chosen for the board, here is the source list for this living room.

These are the Benjamin Moore paint colors I recommend:

Durango for walls - a stylish brown with olive undertones, it fits perfectly with the aesthetic of this relaxing living room and coordinates with the green accents.

Cloud White for trim

Decorator's White for ceiling
